The content is 5 star worthy, but the delivery (Kindle edition) leaves MUCH to be desired. extremely distracting typos on every other line. %^@# instead of proper punctuation, random numbers interspersed in the text. this is almost unreadable to all but the most patient student.note to the publisher: if you use a scanner to convert a book to digital, for the love of all things holy, at least proof read it before you put it up for sale. or if your using monkeys to digitize by typing from the book, train them better!
Like i said, the content is valuable and worthwhile, if you can bring yourself to slug through the hundreds of distracting typos
rating 2 stars because my 5 year old cousin can type better than who ever put this mess together.

Good read . Part of this book is very great never know about the person found in the wilderness .
Great book but my kindle copy had some serious typos. The measurements in many chapters were a big disappointment to me. These I had planned to make reproductions from, but they were all %^&#y. Made it work, great insight into ishi's life though.
Nice read for the most part.
Full of information on the tools and art of Native American now make the Yahi way. This book provides a detailed account of what would have been lost forever if it were not for Ishi’s contributions.
The kindle edition of this book is so rife with errors, it's nearly impossible to read. Get "Hunting with the Bow & Arrow" instead by Saxton Pope. It's basically the same text without the problems. Both are available on , and both are by Saxton Temple Pope. It's almost as if someone ran this book through a scanner, but failed to proof any of it. It reads like an early, poorly executed OCR .pdf.
"Yahi Archery" is, of course, a classic of its genre and a great little read for those interested in archery, craft, and Native American culture and history. Unfortunately this version is somewhat marred by the many digital errors created when it was copied over from the hardcopy. What is particularly galling is that so many of the errors are so easily fixed, either because they are obvious, or by reference to the original text. It says something telling that the publishers has so little respect for the text that they leave in so many ardors that could be fixed so easily. An otherwise great historical text marred by sloppy digital publishing.
